About This Opportunity

 

In this role as a Account Executive  you will be part of the Customer Excellence team reporting into the Senior Manager Customer Route to Market (RTM). This position will be responsible for managing the key aspects of our business relationship with our National Indirect Sales Distribution (ISD) agents. You will play a key role in delivering the Customer Excellence mission of leading a system-wide focus on exceeding our customers’ expectations supported by efficient and effective operations through the standardization, simplicity and accountability. ISD Agents play a critical role in our current and future Route-to-Market strategy and act as key partners in servicing many of our National, Regional and Local customers. The successful candidate will be involved in expanding that partnership

 

 

  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationship with national ISD agents (eg. Sysco, GFS, Wallace & Carey) to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships. 
  • Develop and implement annual business plans which support business objectives and Alternative RTM strategy for local & key customers across national ISDs and CCCBL.
  • Lead the development and alignment of joint business plans with National ISD agents identifying key initiatives and establishing targets. Regular reviews of joint business plan to course correct as required.
  • Develops and successfully sells business plans that align with and support the customer’s and CCCBL systems business objectives and strategies.
  • Develop and lead presentations both internally and externally on the state of your customer(s)’ business identifying issues and opportunities and providing solutions to further develop customer and CCCBL business.
  • Sell-in and implement national promotional strategies for the introduction of new brands and packages as required to be listed at regional DCs.
  • Working collaboratively with CCCBL and ISD agents to develop and implement a local/street customer pricing & execution strategy that aligns with company ARTM strategy
  • Governs the Small Format ARTM process with CCL & CCCBL sales teams for transitioning customers to ISD.
  • Managing and developing innovative DSD & Alternative Route to Market (ARTM) solutions to deliver the financial plan
  • Manages national ISD CMA. Inclusive of handling fee’s, price differentials. Chart of authority for approvals.
  • Main point of contact for ISD, CCCBL and CCL to resolve customer service concerns.
  • Work closely with ISS support team, BSNA, Finance and Customer Excellence teams
  • Actively seek additional new national ISD partners that have capability to support future and current ARTM strategy.
  • Communicate regularly with management discussing performance, business plans, and tracking against established performance metrics.

 

What you will need to succeed in this role

  • University Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • 5-8 years in consumer goods industry, beverage experience is an asset
  • Minimum 3-5 years in sales and major account management
  • Complex selling knowledge with proven ability to create customer value and sell-in customer specific promotional programs & key initiatives
  • Experience in developing successful annual business plans and selling in new products for retail customers
  • Proven ability to manage needs and concerns of multiple stakeholders across various business systems
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong financial acumen - ability to manage a P&L and make financially-based recommendations
  • Understanding of ISD agents an asset.
  • Understanding of bottler sales & logistical operations is an asset
  • Logistical operations experience in a CPG environment is an asset
