Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in business/Finance or Accounting major; an accounting designation and/or MBA is preferred;
  • 5-7 years of relevant finance, accounting or financial management experience, mid-size/large CPG organization experience is an asset;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Self-motivated leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Good time management and high level of organization;
  • Strong computer system skills required, proficiency in Excel, good knowledge of SAP

 

Key Role Responsibilities of a Business Manager:

  • Responsible for P&L oversight and management for two market units;
  • Serve as a key business partner, working directly with senior level management of Sales & Operations and other internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance and insight;
  • Lead regular reviews of financial metrics and results, analyze variances and key business drivers, develop and propose actionable solutions or improvement plans;
  • Completion of month end analysis and reviews with senior level management; ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies;
  • Continuously drive improvements in operational efficiency and profitability in the market units;
  • Involvement in on-going internal projects;
  • Annual budgeting and financial planning;
  • Travel 10-15% of the time, within British Columbia and Western Canada.
