About this Opportunity:


As the Replenishment Planner you will be respobsible for ordering purchased finished goods and tracking inventory reporting to the Manager, Regional Planning in Brampton.



In this role you will be:


  • Responsible for ordering Purchased Finished Goods (PFG) to meet target inventory levels at our central distribution hubs. The planner will work with their plant networks to place orders meeting both manufacturing lead times and minimum run quantities. The planner is also responsible for building optimal loads that support transportation’s routing guide matrix. The Replenishment Planner directly reports to the Manager, Region Planning – Purchased Finished Goods. The Replenishment Planner also is responsible for inventory status communication, reporting on OOS risk or potential shelf life risk.
  • Creates a detailed plan for purchase of finished goods informing the producing plants of CCR requirements and meeting minimum run and lead time standards. Coordinates the schedules with Transportation department taking into consideration all external factors (warehouse resources for receiving/dispatch, availability of transportation and quantities of finished goods)
  • Creates quarantine shipments (changes of warehouses in the transportation orders and , if necessary, designation of quarantine storage sites)
  • Creates schedules of inbound deliveries in accordance with existing standard operating procedures.
  • Identifies potential risks of out of stock (OOS) situations and develops action plans to avoid them. (in accordance with the established service standards for each category)
  • If necessary, manually creates transportation/ shipment orders.
  • Monitors and verifies the compliance and execution of the daily replenishment plans (by tracking not completed purchase releases). All discrepancies should be taken into consideration to be avoided in the future.
  • Risk management for slow-selling SKU/write-offs of obsolete inventory, and development of measures to avoid possible write-offs in the future (age optimization of products)
  • Identifies and revises limitations on transport resources
  • Acts as a main liaison between Producing Plants, Central Sales Centers, and Transportation Department
  • Supports the Regional Planning manager in preparation of the annual business plan.
  • Completes and maintains all the required paperwork in accordance with company guidelines.


What you will need to succeed in this role:


  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Technology, Logistics, Business or Engineering
  • At least 1 years of working experience 
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of Planning processes in Product Supply Systems
  • Knowledge of logistics processes
  • Good working knowledge of Supply Management methods and policies
  • Ability to work within a large team environment
  • Preferred experience working in an ERP environment, ideally SAP
