About this opportunity

 

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will report into the Maintenance Manager and be based out of Brampton. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for manufacturing product using efficient and safe manufacturing processes through the supervision of production team members. The successful applicant must adhere to the schedule and ensure that quality standards are met.

 

What you will need to succeed in this role

 

  • Minimum 5 years Supervisory experience in Maintenance
  • Millwright or electrician with a trade licence (433A or 422A)
  • College Degree or higher in Engineering or related field preferred

 

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Scheduling and supervising Maintenance staff for the plant.
  • Assist mechanics to perform their daily duties.
  • Respond to calls on production lines
  • Creating, planning and executing preventive maintenance program.
  • Assigning and follow up of work orders.
  • Utilize Maximo software to issue track and close work orders.
  • Generate various Maintenance reports.
  • Recordkeeping (attendance, performance, safety, etc.)
  • Inventory control (care, control and custody of all parts, equipment and supplies.)
  • Operate within monthly Maintenance budget.
  • Participate in periodic parts room physical inventories.
  • Take action if any Food Safety issues are noted
  • Cover for Maintenance staff during vacation and sick
  •  Directly responsible for Mechanical line efficiencies and syrup yields.
  • Order parts as needed.
  • Interfacing with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Safety Training, Regulations and Policies
  • Adhere to company standards and policies.
  • TCCMS awareness and support the quality system as required.
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Customer Relations
  • Adhere to all Food Safety Requirements including In-Process Corrective Maintenance and Sanitation
  • All other tasks as assigned.
